Hanna Hansdotter, born in 1984 in Lund, is an artist and designer based in Glasriket (Kingdom of Crystal, Småland), Sweden. Since graduating from Konstfack in 2017, Hansdotter has made an instant international impact. Her work is often characterized as punk baroque inspired by architecture and ornamentation at the crossroads between art and design.
In her career, Hansdotter has received numerous awards and recognitions. In 2020, she received the Åke Andrén artist scholarship and she has also received prizes such as Elle Decoration Design Awards and Residence Arts & Crafts Award. Hansdotter’s work is on display in multiple collections worldwide including the National Museum in Stockholm and the Röhsska Museum in Gothenburg.
